Every year the president uses the State of the Union address to lay out his agenda and state his administration’s priorities and proposals. Since the current president will have been in office for only 40 days, he won’t refer to his speech as an official State of the Union, rather, he will lay out priorities and clarify his policy agenda. The president’s first congressional address is set for Tuesday, February 28, at 9 p.m. ET.
Watching/not watching the president’s First Address on Tuesday? Want to watch/not watch with others who believe in equity and democracy? Don’t want to watch, but still want to have fun with others? Either way. . .join us on Tuesday, February 28, at 7 pm at COLORS Restaurant New York, America’s First Member of Sanctuary Restaurant and let’s (not) watch the congressional address. . . together.
Come support COLORS Restaurant NY and the Sanctuary Restaurants initiative at the State of the Movement Watch/Don’t Watch Party and help us hold the president accountable. By offering a place at the table for everyone, Sanctuary Restaurants welcome all races, genders, religions, sexual orientations, gender identities, abilities, refugees and immigrants. Food and beverages will be provided. The suggested donation is $35 to Sancutary Restaurants. Will you join us?
